Damascus, Dec 22, IRNA, Hollywood is the forerunner of Pentagon’s attacks against Muslims, Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad-Hossein Saffar-Harandi, said Sunday evening.
“Film producers have massive plans to mislead children in the Muslim states through computer games,” said the minister on the sidelines of a ceremony to inaugurate Iran’s Film Week in the Syrian capital.
He said that the US film producers in Hollywood follow the Pentagon lead.
“Those who apparently invite Eastern states to peace and tolerance, use the language of force and weapon while dealing with Easterners,” Saffar-Harandi said referring to the big powers.
He added that Western powers started to make fun of other nations that enjoyed ancient civilizations and cultures after they realized that their military force was no longer effective in defeating countries with long history such as those in the Middle East region.
The Iranian minister stressed that Asian and Middle Eastern movie makers who defended Eastern thoughts as well as their religious and national values were honored by their nations as ‘Ambassadors of Eastern Thoughts.”
The Iranian minister is in syria to attend Iran’s Cultural Week and review issues of mutual interest with senior Syrian officials.
