The JKDP, headed by former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir who broke away from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) last year, in its political resolution said: “The involvement of separatists, particularly the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, in a sustained dialogue process is the first step to achieving peace.”

“Peace alone can ensure development and open the paths to prosperity,” said the JKPD, which is part of the ruling Congress-National Conference led coalition.
