New Delhi : After a pleasant start to the week, Tuesday saw people in the capital sweat it out under the hot sun once again. However it was not the temperature, but the high humidity level that was responsible for the discomfort.
According to the meteorological department officials, the humidity level recorded in Delhi Tuesday was 65 percent.
“The day temperature recorded today was an average 37 degree Celsius. It’s the humidity which increased the discomfort level,” an official of the Safdarjung meteorological office said.
However, no rains are predicted for Wednesday or the next few days ahead.
“Delhi will not receive any more rain for now. It will mainly be clear skies and temperatures will remain more or less average,” the official said.
The minimum temperature recorded early Tuesday was 24 degrees Celsius – two degrees below the average for this time of the year.
