Malaysian PM cuts short India visit

Chennai: Malaysian Prime Minister Mohammed Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak returned home Friday night, cutting short his Indian visit on learning of the death of the Sultan of Johor, Iskandar ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail, after an illness.

Razak was supposed to give the keynote address at the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Partnership Summit that starts Saturday.

He was in India on a five-day visit, leading a delegation of around 160 people consisting of ministers, officials and businessmen.
