According to a section of the Indian industry, it is the “resurgent” India which held promise to the US facing the problem of increasing unemployment.

Fragile economic recovery, increasing unemployment rate in the US coupled with the need to forge closer business relationship with the resurgent India “have brought about a change in the approach of the US,” Assocham said.

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) president Rajan Bharti Mittal said, the US’ decision to ease export control rules in high-tech sectors and participation of American firms in India’s civil nuclear energy sector would boost India’s economic growth.

“… these will result in a burst of economic activities and entrepreneurship in India in such high-tech areas should spur the next wave of India’s economic growth,” he said.
