New Delhi : The fallout of the Japanese disaster and the crises in the Arab world may impact on commodity prices like fuels, even as it was too early to get a complete fix on the matter, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said Tuesday.”The adverse impact on the economy cannot be anticipated right now,” the minister told the Lok Sabha during a debate on the Finance Bill, tabled by him last month.
“Yet, all this may have some impact on us,” he said, while assuring the members he was keeping a close watch on the developments and would take timely and appropriate measures as and when warranted.
