Lucknow: Political parties on Monday welcomed the apex court’s decision staying the division of Ram Janam Bhoomi/Babri Masjid site in Ayodhya by the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court.
State chief of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Surya Pratap Shahi welcoming the apex court decision stated that it will give right to the Hindu devotees to continue their worship. Shahi stated that the BJP believes in legal procedures and approaching apex court against the High Court verdict is a normal thing. “We hope that the apex court’s judgement will be in the nation’s interest and soon a Ram Temple will be built in Ayodhya,” said Shahi.
Welcoming the decision, the UP Congress Committee’s (UPCC) spokesperson, Subodh Srivastava stated that all parties should accept the decision of the SC which will be as per the secular and democratic traditions of the country.
State chief of Samajwadi Party (SP) Akhilesh Yadav also welcomed the apex court’s decision of maintaining status quo in Ayodhya case.
