Chennai : DMK president and former chief minister M. Karunanidhi’s wife Rajathi Ammal Monday denied links with S. Ramesh, who was arrested by the Tiruchirapalli police Sunday in a land grab case.
In a statement issued here, Rajathi Ammal said no one by the name Ramesh had worked as an accountant for her.
The Tamil Nadu Police Sunday arrested Ramesh and A. Thambiraja in Tirchy – around 320 km from here – for forcibly evicting hut dwellers from land in Trichy.
Refuting news reports that Ramesh had worked as an accountant with her, Rajathai Ammal warned of legal action against the media if such news reports are published.
