New Delhi : BSES Delhi, the utility that distributes electricity to certain parts of the national capital, Sunday said dues to state-run NTPC would be cleared by Sep 5 and that its 2.8 million consumers would not be inconvenienced.
“BSES has ensured that no inconvenience would be caused to its 2.8 million consumers in the capital, as a consequence of the recent notice by NTPC to discontinue it power supply from Tuesday, 6th September,” said a company spokesperson.
“The current dues of NTPC will be cleared by Monday, 5th September 2011,” he added.
NTPC had served a notice on BSES Delhi demanding outstanding dues for supply of power, and renewal of the letter of credit and had given the utility time till Sep 7 to resolve the matter.
“BSES stands committed to supply uninterrupted quality power to our consumers,” said the BSES spokesperson.
