Dhaka : Bangladesh Thursday officially recognised the National Transitional Council (NTC) as Libya’s interim authority, Xinhua reported.
“Bangladesh believes that Libya’s people will decide its future,” a Bangladesh Foreign Ministry release stated.
It said Bangladesh underlines the importance of territorial integrity of Libya, solidarity of Libyan people and an inclusive political system.
Bangladesh stands ready to support Libya’s reconstruction process in the interest of a brighter future for the brotherly people of Libya, it added.
The Bangladeshi Embassy in Tripoli conveyed this to the Libyan authorities through a note Thursday, the communique added.
