Kabul : Five policemen, who had been captured by Taliban insurgents two months ago, have been hanged to death. Their bodies were found Saturday in Dihrawud district of the southern Afghan province of Uruzgan, the provincial police chief said Sunday.
“The five were among the 32 policemen who were kidnapped in the Dihrawud district by Taliban insurgents two months ago,” he told Xinhua.
He said that the Taliban insurgents killed the captives one at a time over a period of time.
There was no immediate comment from the Taliban.
