Baby girl rescued from borewell after 7 hours

Bhopal : A baby girl who had fallen into an abandoned borewell in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district Wednesday afternoon was rescued after seven hours, police said Wednesday.

Payal, the one-year-old daughter of Jagdish and Kamla fell into a 16-feet deep borewell in Arsana village under Depalpur police station area of Indore.

The parents of the girl who were cutting crops at the ground of one Manmohan heard sounds coming from the borewell. Realizing it to be their daughter, they cried out for help.

Rescue operations soon began.

“The girl is safe and we are sending her to a private hospital to keep her under observation,” Depalpur SDPO Shaligram Shenkhedia told IANS.
