Seoul : When Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh returns home, he will be carrying a tech-savvy souvenir to mark his visit — Samsung’s latest tablet computer with back featuring unique Korean art of lacquered mother-of-pearl inlay designs.
South Korean President Lee Myung-bak will hand over the latest tablet computer made by Samsung Electronics as a gift to the world leaders, a media report said Monday.
The leaders will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab with their names engraved on the back cover as a souvenir, said Korea JoongAng Daily.
The world leaders are here to participate at the two-day nuclear summit.
The back of the Galaxy tablet features the Korean art of lacquered mother-of-pearl inlay designs, called Najeon Chilgi in Korean, koreatimes.co.kr quoted Cho Jae-cheol, an official, as saying.
The lacquerware is made by inlaying pieces of shells to form intricate designs.
