New Delhi : India and Egypt will sign two bilateral agreements, including a treaty on criminal matters, during the visit of Indian Home Minister Shivraj Patil to that country from Saturday.
During the five-day official visit of Patil, the Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty on Criminal Matters and the Agreement on Transfer of Sentenced Persons will be signed in Cairo, an official release said.
Patil will hold discussions with Egyptian leaders including his counterpart Gen Habib Ibrahim Habib El Adly, on issues of bilateral interest.
He will also call on President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak.
Patil is also likely to meet Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif and the Secretary General of the League of Arab States.
Meanwhile, an Egyptian Embassy release here said that the agreements also include one on extradition.
