Brisbane : Australian fast bowler Stuart Clark cited personal reasons when he missed the first one-day international against India in the triangular Commonwealth Bank series here Sunday.
Clark stayed in Sydney Saturday as the squad assembled in Brisbane. He is expected to return for Australia’s second game against Sri Lanka at the Sydney Cricket Ground Friday.
Ponting declined to say much on Clark’s absence and just added that the fast bowler would miss the game due to “personal family reasons”. Team officials also stayed away from elaborating.
