Local authorities considered that those officials that do not have to obey restrictions go out for parties and other activities in the residential areas where Japanese citizens live.

Allegedly, those militaries most prone to commit crimes like the one that happened the previous week when a marine sergeant Tyrone Hadnot forced a 14 year-old teenager to have sexual relations.

According to Kyodo agency the central government is planning to ask US to have strict control over the staff living outside the military bases in the Asian country.

Okinawa governor Kirokazu Nakaima said he has the intention to study on details the number of US soldiers living in the local population and the reasons for them to do so.

According to the US command there are 6000 houses outside the base only for the military purposes under contract.
