Islamabad : US congresswoman Sheila Jakson, who is in Pakistan to monitor parliamentary elections, met President Pervez Musharraf Monday, said an official statement.
Another US team comprising three congressmen US Senate s foreign affairs committee Chairman Joseph Biden, former presidential candidate John Kerry and Republican Senator Chuck Hagel observed polling in Lahore.
The US team is meeting former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi. It is also holding a meeting with the detained president of the Supreme Court Bar Association Aitzaz Ahsan.
