Patna : The Bihar government Thursday constituted a ministerial committee to look into the demands of the state’s striking lawyers who intensified their protest against the steep hike in court fees.
The committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi will look into the objections raised by various lawyer associations.
The state government would take a final decision on the hike in court fees on the basis of the committee’s report, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said.
However, lawyers struck work for a fourth consecutive day Thursday and decided to continue their strike till April 7.
