Beirut : The Iranian headquarters embarking of providing assistance in rebuilding Lebanon has stated that all its activities are legal.
Responding on a recent statement by some officials in Lebanon who had claimed that Iran is interfering in Lebanon’s domestic affairs, the headquarters issued a statement on Monday stating that Iran had implemented more than 400 development projects in different areas of Lebanon following the war with Israel.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has accepted the obligation to fulfil some 600 development projects in Lebanon, including construction and rebuilding different educational, religious and medical centres, bridges, urban planning, electricity and infrastructure projects of which 70 per cent of the projects have been completed, the statement said.
In the 33-day war, Israeli forces killed more than 1,000 Lebanese and inflicted billions of dollars of damage to the economy of the country.
