New Delhi : At least 13 rebels of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) have been killed in fresh clashes in Northern Sri Lanka.
At least four rebels were killed in Janakapura and Kiribbanwewa areas of north-eastern Welioya yesterday, Sri Lankan Defence Ministry said in a statement in Colombo Saturday.
Three LTTE rebels were gunned down in Alankulam and Nedunkandal areas of Mannar yesterday, the Ministry said.
Four more rebels were killed in clashes in Andankulam, Periyadu, Kovilkunchikulam and Chiraththikulam in Vavuniya front yesterday.
Two more rebels were killed in Jaffna yesterday.
