Havana : The Finland-Cuba Friendship Association slammed the current US anti-terrorist policy, saying it has been double standardized.
In a communiqué released Sunday in Havana by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the People (ICAP), Finish association chairman Tomi Kuhanen said Washington has taken a hypocritical position, for giving protection to well-known terrorist Luis Posada Carriles.
Cuban-born Posada Carriles masterminded, among many other anti-Cuba terrorist plots, the bombing of a Cubana airliner with 73 passengers off Barbados in 1976.
The Finnish association also requested the release of René González, Gerardo Hernández, Fernando Gonzalez, Ramón Labañino y Antonio Guerrero, who have been serving long sentences in the United States since 1998 for monitoring Miami-based anti-Cuba terrorist groups.
The communiqué called to increase the worldwide drive for the release of the Cuban Five, as they are internationally known.
