Kabul : A NATO military report states that soldiers of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) killed two Afghan kids and seriously injured one adult when attacking the civil vehicle where they were traveling in the southern province of Kandahar.
According to the version of events, the troops were patrolling and fired at a vehicle of civilians approaching the ISAF checkpoint under NATO and US command.
The NATO force “deeply regrets the results of this event that will be fully investigated”, states the military report.
On Saturday, British soldiers opened fire at another suspicious vehicle in a checkpoint in the neighboring province of Helmand killing four civilians and injuring three.
