Islamabad : Turkish security forces arrested 70 illegal immigrants in Istanbul, intending to infiltrate into Europe, according to Zaman online newspaper on Saturday.
The newspaper quoted security sources as saying that the arrest was made during a search of a truck passing through the city, coming from the east.
The arrestees are Pakistani and Afghan nationals and are currently being interrogated, it said.
