UP’s Urdu Arbi Farsi University to start academic session this July

Lucknow: The newly constituted Kanshiram Urdu Arbi Farsi University (KUAFU) at Lucknow will offer graduation, law, mass-communication, information technology and management courses from current academic session beginning from July 2011.
Decision to this effect was taken in the financial committee meeting of the university on Wednesday. Vice-Chancellor (V-C), KUAFU, Anees Ansari informed newsmen that the academic session will begin from July 2011. The courses which will be available from the beginning include BA (Urdu, Arabic, Farsi), Law (3 years and 5 years), Management (2 years and 4 years), Interpreter and translator courses in Urdu, Arabic and Farsi, journalism and mass communication, information technology, commerce, comparative study of Indian languages as Snaskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Kashmiri, Punjabi, Sindhi, Bangla, Tamil, Malayalam besides Unani and Ayurvedic stream.
The university has also forwarded a proposal for appointment of teachers and other staff for the university for smooth running of these courses.
The finance committee in its meeting also passed a budget of Rs 330 crore which includes 320 crores for construction and Rs 10 crores for purchasing land.
