NSUI gears up campaigning for Congress’s Lok Sabha election candidate, reaching out to the youth

Jammu: The state president of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), Neeraj Kundan held a meeting in Govt. Maulana Azad Memorial Post Graduate (MAM) College, Jammu, in support of Congress-NC candidate Madan Lal Sharma, on 2nd April, Wednesday.

While talking to the students, Kundan said that Congress has provided rights to the people like right to work (MGNREGA), Right to education, Right to Information, Right to food security, and the historical Roshni Act, highlighting the secular ideology of and non-discrimination by the party. It has represented people right from independence and at present also, Rahul Gandhi’s election system in Youth Congress & NSUI gives power to the youth and the students of the nation to elect their leaders in the party, said he.

He also said Congress party has played a pivotal role in empowering panchayats and implementing 73rd amendment act in state of Jammu & Kashmir, when youth congress was fighting for their rights. He brought to notice Madan Lal Sharma’s support and work for empowerment of the common people. He requested the students to vote for him for the betterment of the people. At the same time Kundan also informed the students about the right to vote which was given to them by late ex-Prime Minister of India, Sh. Rajiv Gandhi and told them the benefits of this right.

The meeting was organized by Avijot Singh, State General Secretary, NSUI. Other NSUI leaders who were present in the meeting are Ranjodh Singh, Nishant Gupta (both State Secretaries), Sunny Parihar, District President, Jammu, among others.
