At first, police targeted the house of Babu s/o Khairul Bashar. They stepped in his house, battered women and children inside the house and put a computer and a T.V. asunder. Then they snatched ear-rings (Kundal) from his two daughters-in-law, Anjum and Satto, and took away paper currency worth Rs. 1,50,000.00 from almirah. On being objected, they took an immature boy, Parwez alias Poody s/o Babu Rajput, in custody and later on beat him badly in police station. After this incident, police entered in the house of Kallan s/o Faizan and took away Rs. 50,000.00 from almirah after breaking a refrigerator. Then they thrashed and misbehaved with women present there and at last entered in Mohammad Tufail’s house, who was not present there. They shamefully abused women present in the house and made them hand over their jewellary. Then battening the children inside house, they entered in the house of Akbar s/o Zareef. After looting Rs. 50,000.00 in cash, women’s’ ear-rings and other costly items of the house, police entered in the house of Mursaleen s/o Mohammad Asghar. Not satiated even after looting this house, police entered in the house of Kala s/o Mohammad Yusuf where they despoiled a Qur’an placed in an alcove. When women and children present in the house protested against it, police started thrashing and rebuking them. Showing their extreme barbarity, a policeman beat up a woman all around when she embraced the Qur’an with her chest.

After four hours of rowdiness, police brought Shafiq s/o Zakir, Mohammad Yusuf s/o Manglu and Kala s/o Yusuf Rajput to police station. As per rough estimates, police ransacked about 20 tolas of gold in jewellary, rupees five lac in cash, a computer, a T.V. and other costly items. Villagers say they had never seen such macabre scene earlier. Till the time of this news dispatch, not a single senior officer reached on spot. Witnessing such a situation, several Muslim families of Khataura village in Miranpur have left the village.
