Washington, Dec 12 (Prensa Latina) Economics Nobel Award Joseph Stiglitz affirmed today that US president George W. Bush leaves his successor a highly indebted country and a dollar down to miserable levels.
In statements to the media, Stiglitz stressed that the Bush legacy will hand the next Executive problems like those faced by any Latin American country.
“When we look retrospectively into the catastrophe that was the Bush administration, we will remember tragedies like the war in Iraq, the shame of Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib.”
The economist that teaches at the University of Columbia (New York) stressed that although “damage inflicted on the US economy does not appear in big headlines,” but it will be felt “beyond the life of anyone following the crisis of the United States,” asserted Stiglitz.
