Four high courts get new chief justices

New Delhi, Dec 31 (IANS) President Pratibha Patil Monday appointed chief justices to the Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan high courts, a law ministry statement said.

Justice K.S. Panicker Radhakrishnan, serving judge of the Kerala High Court, was appointed the chief justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court. Justice Anil Ramesh Dave, of the Gujarat High Court, has been appointed the chief justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Justice Rajesh Balia, currently with the Rajasthan High Court, will take over as the chief justice of the Patna High Court, while Justice Narayan Roy, 0judge of the Patna High Court, has been appointed the new chief justice of the Rajasthan High Court.

According to the ministry statement, all the four chief justices will join duty after the ongoing winter vacation
