Larijani asserts Iran’s readiness to cooperate with Arab states

Cairo : Former Iran’s Top Nuclear Negotiator Ali Larijani on Sunday asserted his country’s full readiness to cooperate with Egypt and all Arab countries for the sake imposing stability and security in the entire Arab world, especially in Iraq and Lebanon.

He explained in a news conference at the Association of Egyptian Journalists here today that his country is striving vigorously for the return of normal relations with all Arab states based on the disclosure and openness.

He added that his country would welcome any head of government agreed upon by all the Lebanese parties, referring to his country’s keenness to support the stability and security in Lebanon and the importance of the role played by Egypt and the Arab League to invite the various parties in Lebanon for convergence and consensus.

He stressed on the other hand the need for achieving a just solution of the Palestinian issue and restore the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, condemning the Israeli practices in the occupied territories, a matter that hinders any solution to this issue.

On Iraq, Larijani reiterated his country’s position which believes that the Iraqi people is the one who determine its own destiny, pointing out that his country offers assistance to the Iraqis in order to ensure the return of stability in the light of the improvement in the political process.
