Baghdad : At least ten policemen died and another five were wounded in bomb attacks in the Iraqi province of Diyala, northern part of the country, on Wednesday, security sources reported.
The first attack was staged in Mukdadiya city, when a roadside bomb detonation took the lives of 8 police agents and injured 2 others.
Another two policemen lost their lives and another three were wounded in a similar attack in Wajihiya locality, also in Diyala province.
In Basra city, a caravan of vehicles carrying officials from the Ministry of Interior was targeted by another bomb attack, in which a journalist of Al Hurra television was slightly wounded.
Meanwhile, the US military reported that four of its soldiers were killed in combats with the Al Mahdi army in Baghdad late in March.
The Iraqi Army with the support of the US troops and warplanes engaged in fierce fighting with Al Mahdi militants in this capital, Basra, and other Iraqi southern regions.
