Moscow : Expectations over the setting up of US missile interceptors in Polish territory grow on Tuesday, as delegations from Russia and Poland talk about the issue in Moscow.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Serguei Kisliak, and his Polish counterpart, Witold Waszczykowski are heading the team of experts attending the debates on the subject, rated by Moscow as a threat to national security.
Using the pretext of an alleged Iranian threat, the US insists on positioning a radar station for its anti-missile defense shield in the Czech Republic, and ten rockets in Polish territory.
The Russian Federation has denounced positioning such arsenals near its borders, and says it would attempt against the deterrent power of its strategic arms.
In return for the setting up of elements of the US anti-missile shield in East Europe, Moscow has proposed using the radio-electronic surveillance center already available in Azerbaijan, and another under construction in Armavir, in the south.
That dispute strained the climate of the Russian-NATO Council in Bucharest, and the last meeting in Sochi between Presidents Vladimir Putin and George W. Bush over the weekend.
