On his first tour of Africa, Manh agreed in Maputo and Luanda to boost economic and political cooperation as well as in other spheres, as was expressed in joint communique.

Local political observers highlighted the signing of a draft agreement for economic, scientific, technological and cultural collaboration with the Angolan government.

The two parts also gave great importance to regional and international items for which they agreed to act together in organizations and international forums.

In that sense the PCV general secretary and his host President Eduardo Dos Santos particularly emphasized the new Asia-Africa strategic association and the Non Aligned Movement.

With Mozambique the links will grow with the creation of an intergovernmental committee aimed at materializing agreements signed between the two countries concerning economic cooperation and technical assistance, among other spheres.

Manh and the Mozambican Head of State Armando Emilio Guebuza agreed to open their respective embassies as soon possible.

The Angolan and Mozambican Heads of States will visit Vietnam shortly, invited by the PCV leader.
