Damascus : Minister of Defence General Hassan Turkmani has renewed Syria’s commitment to the just and comprehensive peace based on UN relevant resolutions and the land-for-peace formula.
Turkmani was speaking at a military celebration for graduating Army high-ranking officers Thursday. The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Army general commander, President Bashar al-Assad.
The defence minister talked about the latest developments in the region, saying “the challenges faced by the Arab nation requires us to promote our level of responsibility.”
He referred to the success of the Arab Summit recently held in Damascus, saying “the Summit foiled all attempts to make it a failure … thus it represents a framework towards an Arab solidarity where all disputes are solved through constructive dialogue.”
