Kolkata lines up for Knight Riders’ matches tickets

Kolkata : It’s the second day of ticket sales for Kolkata Knight Riders’ Indian Premier League (IPL) matches and there was a beeline outside the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) ticket counters here since early Tuesday.

“Ticket sales for the IPL matches have started Monday and we have sold around 55,000 tickets so far till Tuesday noon,” CAB joint secretary Amitabha Bandopadyay told IANS.

“Seeing the growing demand for the Kolkata Knight Riders matches, we expect to sell out all tickets in next couple of days,” Bandopadyay said.

“Till now, we have sold tickets worth about Rs.1.5 million from 18 different counters,” he said.

The first match of Kolkata Knight Riders will be played April 20 at the Eden Gardens here against Deccan Chargers (Hyderabad).

Tickets are priced at Rs.110, Rs.220, Rs.335 and Rs.665 and can be booked online as well.
