Moscow : Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held on Friday talks in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The two leaders discussed the outcomes of the Palestinian–Israeli negotiations and the special arrangements of the forthcoming Moscow peace conference as well as Russian aid to the Palestinian National Authority and mutual relations between the two countries.
President also updated President Putin on the outcomes of negotiations with the Israelis, saying that ‘they are ongoing but face difficulties.’
For his part, President Putin expressed support to Palestinian–Israeli settlement efforts, saying that ‘You are visiting us at a tense moment. The situation is difficult. We welcome that and will give you comprehensive support.”
