Some leaders are trying to play a housekeeper for China, because even before the March 14 disturbances in Lhasa and especially since then, they have put the Tibetan issue on the international stage, China Daily commented.

It deals not only with the resolutions of the US Congress and the European parliament, but also with the roadmap prepared for coming years, revealing such interference in the campaign.

An editorial in the paper recalled that in May 2007, an International Conference of Tibet Support Groups was organized in Brussels, sponsored by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, affiliated to the Free Democratic Party of Germany.

During the meeting, attended by Paula Dobriansky, US undersecretary of State and special coordinator for Tibet, missions to organize protests worldwide were assigned.

Those plans, developed in collaboration with the US State Department and the Tibetan government-in-exile, called for high-profile actions along the course of the Olympic torch relay.

The Brussels Conference concluded with the approval of a document entitled Roadmap for the Tibet Movement in coming years, and the Olympic Games were among the four areas of action, China Daily reads.

The Dalai Lama group was never alone in its attempt to make Tibet an international subject, it affirms.
