Gaza City : Israel jets pounded Gaza Strip for a second day on Sunday.
Six airstrikes pummeled the Islamic University as Israel widened its deadliest-ever air raids on Gaza.
Some 40 food and energy supply routes and tunnels running on the border with Egypt have been attacked, destroying a network that is a lifeline to the outside world.
Up to 298 Palestinians are now reported to have been killed since the airstrikes began.
Hamas fired some 80 rockets into Israel and in one of the longest- reaching salvoes, two rockets struck near Ashdod, a main port 18 miles from Gaza.
