Aligarh: Young generation should opt for entrepreneurship, rather than seeking jobs in companies and government departments. They should establish their own industries as it would help in the alleviation of poverty from the country, said Frank Islam, chairman of FI Investment Group (FIIG). He was addressing a gathering at Aligarh Muslim University on Thursday. His lecture on “Entrepreneurship and Leadership” was arranged under the extension lecture program of the university.
Elaborating on attributes of entrepreneurship and leadership, he said drive and patience besides willpower to take risk are most needed qualities to become industrialist. He advised students that they should not just go on dreaming but also strive to translate those dreams into a reality.
AMU vice-chancellor Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis said there are unlimited possibilities for industrialization in India and students should pay attention to self-employment instead of seeking services. He said AMU students are adding new feathers to their career in the field of entrepreneurship. The vice-chancellor said Government of India is also promoting industrialization and providing loans through banks and other financial institutions.
