Gaza : The Israeli Army said on Wednesday its forces are drawing plans to execute wide-scale military ground operations in Gaza Strip, Israeli radio reported.
The radio quoted an Israeli official source as saying “despite the military plans, the Israeli Army would keep its security operations at the same scale for now.” The Israeli Army carried out frequent limited incursion operations in different areas in Gaza and its outskirts.
Meanwhile, 19 Palestinians were killed and more than 50 others were injured on Tuesday during an Israeli several-hour incursion into Al-Zaitoun neighborhood, east Gaza Strip.
According to Israeli official sources, Israel feels it has no choice but to conduct a wide-scale and long military ground operation targeting Palestinian armed groups in Gaza Strip, the radio reported.
Some even said that there would be even more escalation between Israel and the Palestinians if such an operation is not conducted.
