EU condemns terrorist attack in Afghanistan

Brussels : European Union Commissioner for external relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, strongly condemned Monday the terrorist attack targeting innocent civilians in front of the Indian Embassy in Kabul.

“Terrorist attacks will never be a means to achieve anything. I hope that the people behind this suicide attack will be found and brought to justice by the Afghan authorities,” she said in a statement.

“My condolences go to the families who have lost loved ones and I wish all those injured in this terrible attack a speedy recovery,” added the statement.

Latest media reports said about 40 people were killed in the suicide attack.
