Abbas met Israeli President Shimon Peres on Tuesday in the presidential residence and stated his concern about frequent military aggressions to citizens of the occupied territories.

Abbas also met Al-Fatah Movement legislators and was questioned about his plans regarding frequent Israeli raids in Nablus, Jenin, Hebron, and other West Bank cities.

In a dialogue with Peres, the Palestine leader called to stop Jew settlement expansion since it undermines peace talks and causes distrust.

The Israeli army justifies its raids and violent actions with the fact that Palestine forces are unable to protect Israel from possible attacks by the resistance.

According to analysts, if Abbas complies with his warning, Israeli-Palestine peace talks would hold back.
