Mumbai : Air India Holiday sold 1,110 packages in first 20 days of May fetching the airline a revenue of around Rs.85 million, a company release said here Tuesday.
In April 2008, around 400 travel packages were sold. In fiscal 2007-08, the airline earned revenue of Rs.741 million from the sale of 13,120 holiday packages, said the statement.
Air India has on offer over 400 comprehensive package options covering 150 cities in 22 states and 10 international destinations. The international network was recently expanded to include London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, and Kuala Lumpur.
The Mainland China package, introduced in April, takes the traveller to Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou and Hangzhou.
A package normally includes return airfares, airport transfers, accommodation in standard- three- or five-star hotels, meals and local sightseeing — all at economical prices.
