Raipur : Police Wednesday recovered three bodies from two places in Chhattisgarh’s insurgency hit Dantewada district and blamed the Maoist guerrillas for the killings.
Police said the leftist insurgents had abducted Marvi Joga, 45, and Markami Bairagi, 60, last week from a government-run relief camp at village Jagargunda in Dantewada’s Konta block.
Their bodies with bullet marks were recovered from a forest area early Wednesday, District Superintendent of Police Rahul Sharma told IANS.
“The body of a 22-year-old tribal youth Sodhi Bachi was found near a culvert close to Andhra Pradesh border,” Sharma added.
This victim too had bullet wounds around his neck and shoulder.
Sharma said that the rebels active in the vast interior area of Dantewada and neighbouring Bijapur district had probably killed them Monday night and dumped the bodies on the roadside.
