Baghdad : The Iraqi government Thursday imposed a curfew throughout Baghdad until Sunday morning.
Major-General Qassem Ata, spokesman of the Law Enforcement operation, told KUNA security authorities have decided to impose a curfew on individuals, vehicles and motorcycles all over Baghdad until Sunday morning.
Sources at the Baghdad Operations Command said the curfew was a preventive measure against possible violent actions.
Baghdad was a scene Thursday of armed clashes.
