Gaza Again Suffers Israeli Fuel Cuts

United Nations : The interruption of fuel supplies through Nahal Oz might force an electricity plant in the Gaza Strip to close and Gaza vehicles already lack fuel, a United Nations report revealed on Wednesday.

The UN Special Coordinators Office for the Peace Process in the Middle East report said fuel reserves for generation of electricity are a minimum and “If fuel reserves are not supplied before Friday, the plant cannot keep operating.”

The Palestinian Refugees Assistance Organization reported that its vehicles in Gaza lack fuel so public buses are stopped.

Diesel motor cars are used to distribute food to thousands of Palestinian families, and if Israel does not let fuel enter Gaza, they will not be able to continue working.

UNSCO urged Israeli authorities to re-establish fuel supply for the organization to keep on giving humanitarian aid to Palestinian refugees.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon will go to London Thursday, where he will preside over a meeting of the Middle East Peace Group formed by the UN, the European Union, Russia and the US, with the participation of the foreign ministers of several Arab countries.
