Dhaka : Bangladesh flew its flags at half-mast Wednesday as part of a one-day national mourning for the victims of the recent devastating cyclone in Myanmar and earthquake in China.
The national flag was lowered atop government buildings and offices of autonomous organisations in the capital Dhaka as a mark of respect to the memories of the hundreds of thousands dead and injured in the two catastrophes.
A team of Bangladeshi army medics were among the first to reach Myanmar with relief goods for the cyclone victims.
