Islamabad : Pakistan People’s Party USA Chapter has urged political forces and the nation to support PPP presidential candidate Asif Ali Zardari for strengthening the federation and play their role for democratic harmony in the country. In a joint press statement issued here Monday, President PPP California USA Chapter K.B.Bhutto and Additional Secretary Information Chaudhry Masood said that Pakistan is passing through a critical juncture, facing both internal and external challenges, adding it is the time for all political forces and the nation to unite and play their due role to steer the country out of present crisis.
They said that PPP is the only mainstream political party which has roots in all four provinces, FATA and Kashmir, therefore, it is need of the hour to elect a candidate who can play an effective role to overcome the present challenges and lead the country on the road to progress.
“The PPP is a symbol of federation and its leadership sacrificed their lives for the cause of downtrodden people and to promote real democracy in the country,” they added.”
They said that PPP-led coalition government is confronted with several challenges but the able leadership of the parties concerned had the capabilities to steer the country out of the present crisis particularly extremism, economic crisis and ameliorate the lot of the people.
