Pressure has to be implemented as a result of the humanitarian situation in Gaza, the German leader added.

Brown echoed Merkel’s statements on the humanitarian plight, emphasizing “the urgency of action in the Middle East.” He pledged to work “day and night for a ceasefire.”
The prime minister expressed “shock over the humanitarian tragedy.” European countries have been criticized by Arab and Islamic countries for not stepping up enough pressure on Israel to halt its ongoing genocide in Gaza.
