New Delhi : Although they were opened for fewer number of days than last year, the sprawling Mughal Gardens and other gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan received a greater number of visitors this year.
Last year when these gardens were open for public viewing for 32 days, 537,200 visitors sauntered through them, according to an official statement.
This year, however, when the gardens were open for only 27 days – between Feb 7 to March 10 – they saw 571,041 visitors. The average number of visitors per day was also higher this year.
