Mumbai : Indian equities extended their gains about an hour before the closing bell Thursday, with a key index ruling 2.35 percent higher than its previous close.
The 30-scrip Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensitive index (Sensex), which opened at 9,739.93 points, was trading at 9,895.52 points – a rise of 208.27 points or 2.15 percent from Wednesday’s close.
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 1.73 percent from its last close to rule at 3,036.2 points.
The BSE midcap index was ruling 0.98 percent higher while the BSE smallcap index was up 0.91 percent.
